Powerful, a bit complicated

I'm used to simpler, smaller, less expensive OBD scanners with fewer features. That's quite a step forward. It comes in a black cardboard gift box. I would prefer a plastic case. The device came with a partially pre-installed screen protector (I tried to remove the top layer of the screen protector but removed it completely. After several attempts I reapplied it but now it has bubbles. The screen is bright, high contrast and easy to read. This device connects to your Wi-Fi and requires your password if you want the update feature. I tried this unit on my 2013 Toyota Rav4 and it didn't show any codes but it was able to pull up the mileage and VIN. It's not that intuitive to use, but for those who are mechanics, serious gearboxes, or have a real issue that needs to be diagnosed, this seems like a powerful tool that fits your needs. The price dropped from $250 to $200 so it's fair value now.
