This item is designed to either perforate one side of the stencil or to stamp the entire stencil onto card stock. The malfunction of the mechanism is that no matter where the switch is located on the bottom of the punch, it pierces only the extreme part of the structure and when you press the handle it gets stuck in percussion mode, and you have to press hard with a screwdriver the bottom of the stamp to release the cardboard from the stamp . I am very dissatisfied with this product!
