Amazon Basic Oscillating Blades seem to fall somewhere between discount blades and premium blades. They're about 1/4 the price of discount blades, so overall a great deal. For that reason, I highly recommend this set for its value. Durability and Price I know what to expect in terms of tool blade life when it comes to cutting wood. Which isn't much, especially when working with old, hardened wood. They wear out quickly no matter what you buy. You can use them for a while after initial wear, but your cutting speed will drop. I found myself using oscillating blades well past the point where they cut well because I didn't want to be so quick to throw away another $5 blade. I don't think high end blades offer more than twice the lifespan. That being said, if for some reason you don't really need long life, this set is incredible value compared to what's available at local hardware stores, and you'll probably "done" 3-4 times more with these blades than with blades. others for the same price, but it may take a little longer since you have to change blades more often. Verdict This is a phenomenal deal for a "medium" blade. I highly recommend them for their value.
