My God! What nonsense. At first I was looking for giant waffle blocks for Christmas but they were sold out. AND THEN I found these jumbo blocks. My grandkids love legos and they work just like giant legos. However, if you have the space and can afford it, I recommend buying a set with more blocks. Kids can build many structures with a 48 piece set, but sometimes they just have "big plans" in their head and often 48 blocks just isn't enough. Great group gift for kids or to keep at Grandma's house. Day care may also find this amusing. And here's a bonus for me. They are MADE IN AMERICA! LOVE IT.UPDATE: Still a favorite toy a year later. This year I gave my grandkids an extra set of 48 for Christmas so they can build more buildings. They play with these blocks in different ways - they build forts, chairs, walls and tunnels for their train tracks. This is only limited by their imagination and the number of blocks they have. Now that they're 96 blocks, I'm amazed at how compact they fold up into four short towers to store in the corner of a room. These blocks are simply the best for imaginative play.
