I bought this cable a few days ago, more than 1 year ago (same as today). Since it only comes with a 1-year limited warranty, I'm a little SOL. In the winter I travel to 3-4 different locations in the US for exhibits and I needed a cable long enough to connect to the hotel TV and watch movies while still having access to my laptop. I thought that would be the solution. Unfortunately, I only managed to use it twice in 2018 and once more recently. This last use showed that it was unusable. Between trips it was rolled up (exactly as I received it) and stored in an airtight container in my office. disintegrate just like the cheap versions within the first year. When it works, it's amazing. Maybe I'm just being cynical, but almost like clockwork or planned obsolescence, consumer products break a few days past their expiration date. I'm not exactly sure what my options are now. Maybe I'll buy and take 3 cheaper versions with me because it works.
