WHY: My computer is in the corner of the room and my TV is in the middle of the opposite wall. I wanted to connect a PC to a TV for gaming, but due to the setup of the TV, desk and the rest of the room, moving the PC wasn't the best option. Somehow I thought it was cool because of the flat design, but for my purposes I would prefer a thin round cable. So I think it just depends on how you use it. I need to install this and put it away for a day use here and there. It's a beautifully rolled circle - one end in the middle and it just wraps around.
