Somehow I thought it was cool because of the flat design, but for my purposes I would prefer a thin round cable. So I think it just depends on how you use it. I need to install this and put it away for a day use here and there. It's a beautifully rolled circle - one end in the middle and it just wraps around. But if you try to use it that way (and wrap that extra cord as much as possible), it's difficult to get it back into a round shape. And if you decide to just unwind and rewind everything, it will take a long time, unlike the "zigzag" round cable. And if you zigzag this cable, it will be very thick, because all the flat sides are so and so. Unless you want to take the time to make it pretty. But it works and looks good. I have no creases as I try to keep it that way. The plastic sheathing on the ends may be too big depending on where you connect them. The connector on my monitor is positioned so that I practically bend the connector a little so I can squeeze the cable in there. . Approximately 1.75 to 2 inches from the very tip of the gold-plated connector to the end of the plastic housing.
