Review on Saucony Mens Ride Running Shoe Men's Shoes by Maurice Rivera

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comfortable, light and supportive.

I've been running cross country but Arizona is having a tough summer so I decided to buy my first pair of regular running shoes. I just don't like running uphill in the dark with a headlamp. I usually buy Saucony Exodus for trail running, so I decided to give it a try. Size: They fit me as expected. I wear 12.5 in Exodus and the 12.5 Ride ISO 2 fit perfectly. Comfort: 1-They wrap around the heel and arch well, but the toe box is a bit wide. But I have rather narrow feet (C). It is compared to the Exodus. But that doesn't bother me when running and I adjusted to it on my first runs in these shoes. I feel like my cadence is faster compared to what I normally run. I feel like I have an extra "boost" when I run in it. 3- Comfortable shoe sole. I have no pain in my legs or knees during or after my runs. It absorbs shock well on concrete and black surfaces. I don't feel tense when running and I feel like I have enough flexibility and support for my legs. 6- The lacing system is well thought out and really hugs my feet giving stability to the shoe. 7- You breathe damn well! In the summer, I run in Arizona, outside, after the sun goes down. At this point it can still be around 100 degrees. My feet don't feel hot at all. When I get home, I actually find myself not immediately snatching them off my feet. It really says something. 8- These shoes are light! Compared to the Exodus I usually run in, I feel like these shoes almost don't exist. Others may not feel the same, but I was shocked. Cons: 1- The soles being so soft pick up dirt as you walk over rocks and brushes while walking. As a trail runner, I never think twice before doing a lot of running. I'm pretty much sticking with them with the concrete and the black top. If the area you are running in has a lot of loose gravel or brush, this shoe is not for you. Bottom line: I paid $77 for them since they were on sale and used some credit card rewards points. For the price I am very happy with this shoe. My legs and knees feel good after running and I don't regret my purchase.
