I've been looking for secure pads for our roof rack and like that they don't rotate and are securely fastened with clips as velcro alone may not be enough. I like the long 30 inch length as it matches the width of my surfboard. The pads allow the board to fit better in the roof rails, which is what I like and wanted. My only complaint was that I felt the straps weren't tight enough to prevent both of my boards from moving and I was nervous that they might shift while driving on the freeway, so added that I added a ratchet strap and was ready to work. Two hours later I checked and they hadn't moved an inch! 5 stars for the pads, 4 stars for the straps. Nevertheless, a quality product that I can recommend.
