When I received the package, the tape around the opening appeared to have already been cut and the package opened. According to the instructions provided, I should have two cables, USB-C to USB-C with USB 3.0 converter/bracket and HDMI to mini-HDMI. Another review said it comes with two cables for power and video output. I'm missing a mini HDMI cable. If your laptop has USB-C ports, you can only use one cable for power and output, it doesn't seem to be using a battery in this situation. I'm using a Thinkpad and the screen hasn't had any connection issues and the touchscreen works when connected via USB-C. Since I don't have a mini HDMI cable, I'm not sure if it will work there either. I couldn't connect it to my iPhone 11 with the Lightning to USB-C cable. I could buy a dongle to convert lightning to hdmi or mini hdmi. It's not a big problem for me as I bought it for work when I'm traveling with my laptop. Overall I bought it as a portable monitor to use with my laptop and it has good battery life. It is well made for this purpose and the other features are optional. I was dissatisfied with the pre-opened packaging and the lack of a cable and an installation CD for touchscreen functionality if required. That's why I gave 3 stars
