This is an original product. You simply take the plug out of the sink and stick the gripper end down the drain, twist it around a bit and then pull out the most disgusting and stinky mess you've ever seen. I'm deducting a star because I had to do multiple passes with a stick to clear the jam. The problem is that I had to scrape off the first layer of gritty stuff to pull out another batch of gritty stuff, which is impossible because the gripper won't let go of the mess. I had to use two sticks to unclog the awkward clog, so it's good that there's more than one stick in this bag. Disposal is very easy as you just throw it away.
