My massage therapist told me about this product. I have severe trigger points (diamond shaped) in my deltoids and right shoulder. To avoid surgery I decided to try a deep tissue massage once a month (I found a wonderful therapist). The base oil is immortelle. The smell can be a bit overpowering, but you can get used to it. When I go for massage we use a large bottle (no roller) along with a carrier oil or lotion. In between, I use this scooter when it starts to drag. I roll. It doesn't fix the problem right away and it's not a pain reliever, but it does help me function when my shoulder and back are tight. While it's pricey for a small bottle, it helps a little. .Hope that helps.
