We have a young stray cat who was big with a litter of kittens. Keeping a cat cooped up in a garage with a cold floor was a challenge, so we took this heating pad, put it in a large dog bag and fed her next to her until she finally gave birth to 7 kittens. Warmth was so important and the kittens and mother cat lay on the heater all the time. Once the kittens are old enough, they are given to others and the mother is spayed under a local program and then released to become homeless. The heating pad was the perfect choice.
