I originally had a DIY tube amp. Well, that's to be expected from a cheap kit. Eventually something happened and this DIY kit stopped working in one ear. I could never understand what happened. Changed dachshund and bought this amp as a replacement. This little guy is great! I like that it not only has a volume control but also a slight EQ treble/bass control. I should have started with that. Take the time to customize it to your liking, it's worth it.
