I just used the sensor from the cylinder. Remove the sensor, lubricate the wires with dielectric grease to protect them from moisture. Install in the steering column. Just need a new sensor. Next, you need to retrain your truck's security system. I have a 2004 Chevy Colorado. Repeat until the truck starts. 1. Try to start, leave the ignition on until the "lock" icon disappears or stops flashing (about 15 minutes?).2. Turn off the ignition and repeat step 1.
