My living room is 18x18. I set the heater temp to 70 Fahrenheit since I only have 15 amps. I have read previous customer reviews which have been very helpful. Others who installed the heater higher with a lower amp melted the cable. So I quickly assumed that it wasn't a heating fault. So I put the heating on the economy level with the 70 degree setting. That works great. The cable is warm but not hot. This little heater really drives away the chill and makes the room cozy. I also use a fan. Great buy for the price. It was a great purchase.
