Lots of buds, very few breaks

Good size alder cones, there were many in the bag. I use it in my shrimp tank to add tannins and as a place for beneficial bacteria to grow so they can eat it. If you use a shrimp tank or two, the bag will last a long time.

Pros

Lowers pH --- Betta, shrimp, catfish, cichlids and catfish need water with a certain pH. These tropical fish typically require a pH of 6.8 to 7.6. Bettas thrive well at a pH of 7. JOR Alder Cones are the perfect way to create a habitat with the right pH for your aquarium.
