Love this gate so much we purchased a second one. Agree with all the positive reviews. Easy to install, easily mounted as a temporary structure, or with screws to make more permanent. Instructions were not too complicated thanks to those who shared their comments. We chose to mount without screws & if you have asymmetrical walls (as shown in our picture), this gate is best used at the bottom of the staircase. We purchased the gate to keep our foster pups from going upstairs on the carpet. We installed the second one at the top of the stairs with the same intention and unfortunately it didn’t work quite as well with asymmetrical sides. The frame had to be elevated about an inch off the ground to fit properly, creating a tripping hazard at the top of the steps. For this reason I would not recommend if you have asymmetrical walls. However, at the bottom of the steps, or if you have symmetrical walls on either side of the entrance where the gate will be installed, this is a fabulous product! Easy to use, sturdy, and reasonable price given the quality!
