While I was hoping I would love this stool, the mechanics of the two latches underneath do little to nothing. I tried my best to assemble this thing but ended up pinching my wrist really hard once I put my two legs together. I believe the metal braces, poor workmanship and lack of instructions made this stool unsafe to assemble, even for a person in their 30's. After proper assembly, the stitching on the top did not match and a small crack appeared on the top of the stool, which is the most important part from an aesthetic point of view. At around $48, this stool isn't worth the price or the potential safety hazard it can pose. I sent this item back immediately after having my wrist bandaged which now leaves a nice scar. I usually only write positive comments about the products I buy, but I had to share my story. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
