Update March 2021 I spoke too early. It's been almost a year since I bought it and it still doesn't work. The HDMI and VGA ports no longer work. I know it's the device because I connected the monitor to a Windows laptop with an internal VGA port and the monitor works as expected. I don't understand how a device with no moving parts can just stop working. Update January 2021 After replacing this device last year, it has been stable since August. Heat is still an issue with the device, but it still connects my HDMI monitor, webcam, and USB printer. I don't use it as a power adapter for my device. I have upgraded to 5 stars and will continue to monitor the update *** Support has contacted me regarding this issue. So I'm changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. The device is used 5-6 times a week for 10-12 hours a day. I would like to evaluate your usage needs and see if you will use it as much as I do. ***** I bought this to connect my peripheral monitor and webcam for everyday use. It has not been six months and the USB ports are not working. It's getting very hot and I'm disappointed that the USB ports stopped working. I've tried USB connections with a USB mouse and two USB cameras with no success. I know it's not my mouse or webcam because they work on other computers in my house. I have exited the return window with Revain and need to purchase an ANOTHER adapter. Very disappointed
