Built like a tank - works great

The first impression of this case is like armor. It has a certain weight and rigidity that makes it look like a tank. I popped in my iPad Pro and my impression didn't change - it felt perfectly safe, like I could throw it in checked baggage and everything would work out fine on the other end. The keyboard also felt solid under my fingers. The keys had good travel, but that motion didn't seem to transfer through the palm rest like it did with some of the thinner keyboard cases I've tried. The layout took a while to get used to though - it's definitely an iPad keyboard and not a standard laptop keyboard. That means some buttons don't necessarily work as you'd expect, and the left control button is a little hard to hit. This keyboard case may appeal to many. Bluetooth pairing is fast and requires no additional software. The housing consists of two parts. The iPad itself is encased in a case that attaches magnetically to the back of the keyboard, so you can easily grab the iPad itself when you don't need the keyboard or extra protection. The hinge is very strong and holds the angle in the open position well. The backlit keyboard is also a big plus. There are three levels of brightness, but even the lowest was enough for a very dark room. The touchpad is responsive and feels good mechanically. If you don't mind a lot of bulk, this is a great keyboard case for a customization that would otherwise take a lot of abuse of your iPad.
