I bought and used a smaller A4 tracing paper/tray for diamond embroidery. When a friend started looking into it, I gave her my smaller notebook and ordered this one. The cable was shorter than my previous pad and I feel this contributed to perhaps more tension on the cable where it enters the pad. The cable then started to wiggle at the panel and eventually it seemed to cause some sort of disconnect and the light started flickering and I had to wiggle and secure the cable with a piece of tape to get it to light up. In the end it didn't shine anymore. It went in the trash. I bought another but this time I've made sure to get one with a longer cable and I'm more careful to avoid cable and connector strain. I really like the felt bag and use it with my new light mat.
