I am traveling to Europe this summer and need something to hold cash, credit cards etc so I don't have to carry my purse. I started going to a nearby park to get in shape and used it to store my credit card, driver's license, and Medicare and supplemental cards. I first hung it around my neck and then put it under my t-shirt. But when I cut my hair short, I didn't like the idea of the umbilical cord showing at the back of my head. It seemed too easy for a thief to come up to me and cut the cord, so I started wearing it around my waist and tucking it under my shorts. Although I wear size 16-18 I have no problem adjusting the drawstring around my waist.============================ = ============================ Update: I just got back from a cruise in Italy and the stash worked really well. I wrapped the drawstring around my waist and pulled it tight, then tucked the pouch into my pants and tucked the drawstring into my waistband. I don't think anyone could tell that I had a pouch in my pants and pulled it out very carefully so as not to draw attention to it. For example, I got money when I was in the bathroom or in a vehicle. My US passport fit in the pocket leaving some room but the passport made the pocket a bit stiff which wasn't that comfortable. like without a passport in it. I put my credit cards and nautical chart in the side zip pocket and the euro in the long pocket that slides up and down. Didn't occur to me at the time, but I could have put euro coins in the other zippered compartment. For the trip from the airport to the hotel and then the next day for the trip from the hotel to the seaport, I carried two stashes - one on each side of the front. I took extra dollar bills to tip on the ship and couldn't fit it all in one bag. Two pouches came in handy, but I only carried one pouch for the rest of the trip. Using this bag allowed me to go outside without my wallet which gave me a sense of security that I wouldn't lose everything if someone snatched my bag. Also, the weather was very hot and it was nice not to lug around a heavy bag.
