Review on 🐱 Hello Kitty White Zojirushi 16-Ounce Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Mug by Greg Muiznieks

I HAVE TO REDACT THIS ENTIRE RATING BECAUSE THE LID IS A JOB. Previously I had two old models and decided to upgrade to Zojirushi SM-TA60BA. I LOVE IT! The new upper design and additional lining is better than the first design. Whatever design you buy, I've never had a mug hold heat as well or as long as this one! I take the black ones to put them in the sun and keep them even warmer! As far as I know, there is no other mug that beats Zojirushi! UPDATE 8/26/19 I purchased this mug (SM-TA60BA) on May 7th and the lid tab broke tonight - just over 3 months later. I agree with all the other 1 star reviewers: This used to be the best mug, I liked the slimmer bottle size and have had a few (model Zojirushi SM-SA60-BA) and never had any issues with them. I only replaced them because they had become unsightly on the inside and stained. Unfortunately, the covers of the previous model do not fit the new one. This newer model has a very weak spot in the lid: the plastic is so brittle that it breaks easily in a few months. A reviewer shared a photo of the exact same problem I was having. I wrote to Zojirushi customer service this evening and will be waiting for a response. However, I've looked online for ways to replace the $12 part and SURPRISE.it is out of stock. No wonder given that I'm pretty sure every bottle sold will have the same problem. I really hope they fix this because I think the thermal properties of their mugs are the best I've found and I love every feature of them. But until the lids are fixed, I'll have to find something else. If I find something better, I'll update this review again. UPDATE: 12/14/19 Well a replacement cap was sent to me after the first one broke, just broke tonight. Again just a little over 3 months later. Having already established that this was the cup's weak point, I was particularly wary of the second one. I was sitting with the cup on my lap and the lid closed when it suddenly exploded and the lid popped off. The bolt and spring flew across the room. photo attached. I've been trying to find a replacement screw cap on their website and I can't even find this model listed. The search returns "No Results". So disappointing for an otherwise good mug.
