Coil caught fire after 3 months. Garbage.
Coil installed and lasted 3 months. Yesterday I lost all power while driving, the car wouldn't accelerate and when I stopped the coil caught fire. I had to call the fire department. Thank goodness it had gone out on its own when they arrived, but the coil has now melted. Complete garbage. If possible, buy an original spare part. Not this garbage.
- Heat and age are common causes of ignition coil failure. The engine's ignition coil can fail completely, resulting in no spark; or can become too weak to deliver enough current to the spark plug to adequately ignite the air/fuel mixture in the engine, resulting in poor performance and misfire. In any case, the ignition coil of the car engine must be replaced.
