Made in America. So +1 star for that alone. They are great, look and feel like a tank and do their job well. While I'm not a pro, I'm not going to be cutting miles of sheet metal with them every week. Possible points to consider: 1) "Setup" varies from couple to couple. This is likely due to manual assembly tolerances. On this pair, when open, the jaws are not as far apart as they could be. Approximately 1/2-3/4 inch of the length of the blades is already engaged when fully deployed. This means I would have to make 10 cuts, whereas I could only make 9 if more blade length was available for the actual cut. On the other hand, blades that start at a lower angle cut the sheet metal more easily. 2) You better have big hands. My medium sized male hands have trouble grasping fully open scissors. Sometimes I "soul" the tool by pushing it closer to the working end and placing two fingers where only an index finger should be. 3) Packed in zipper bag, not in retail package. This is normal, it is better to store and ship cheaper.
