These hiking shoes are highly recommended! There are very few shoes that I find comfortable as most shoes have a narrow toe. All of the Topo shoes I've owned have plenty of room in the toe box and this one is no exception. I've had a couple of Altras that also have a roomy sock, but these topos handle 8+ MPs much better. I wear them every day. I walk several times a day and typically take over 16,000 steps a day. I bought this waterproof version specifically to wear ankle deep in the snow in winter. Not once did my feet get wet! A note; my feet sometimes get very hot in these shoes. They practically do not "breathe", but in winter it suits me perfectly. On a positive note, my feet never got cold while walking unless the temperature was below 0 degrees. I also really like the look. In the past I have felt that some of the athletic shoes I have purchased are not appropriate for office work but they look good. I've been wearing them for almost 2 months now and have probably ridden them 400 miles. walk. So far they're holding up well.
