Super easy to install and very secure! I absolutely trust firearms and other assets. It has a thick steel body and there are no lever tips to easily break. I'm pretty confident in the design. This is better than some other cantilever safes on the market as the entire cavity is encased in steel while some others are just the top plate. You remove the armrest, remove the armrest bracket, loosen and replace the two 12mm screws, install the longer 12mm screws, and reinstall the armrest. Made. They lose some frontal space and that's a shame. I have a feeling they could use this empty space. The door is spring loaded and opens when you turn the lock to unlock it. The combo watch faces are pretty good, but you have to watch them to unlock them. It's not easy to get involved. I added two things. I first drilled a hole and inserted an LED module into the safe and then wired it up to light up when the headlights were on. So I can see what's inside when it's dark outside. Second, I added an L bracket and drilled self tapping screws to cover the right edge of the safe. If I ever put small items on the vault that I don't want to lock, they roll off the edge and get stuck between the console and the vault. I lost a couple of lighters there and decided to fix this problem. Other than that, it's great.
