Inexpensive, easy repair!

The passenger side mirror on our 2000 Ford Taurus hit the garage door upholstery when my son backed out of the garage. The impact shattered the mirror but only scratched the housing it was in. At first my husband thought the whole mirror and housing needed replacing and then I spotted this replacement mirror. I ordered a mirror with direct assembly instructions. Basically you use a screwdriver to gently pry the old mirror from the bracket (located in the mirror housing), then line up the slots on the back of the replacement mirror with the clips on the bracket and apply even pressure. until it snaps into place. That's all! I noticed that in the left column of this list there is a video showing how to remove the old mirror and install the new mirror. A NOTICE. This replacement mirror does not include wires for heating, turn signal and auto dimming. Didn't notice the new mirror appeared blurry as another reviewer mentioned.
