I have bought so many different car phone holders. Everything from magnets that stick to windshields and air vents. I can't use a phone case and speed bumps so the phone doesn't fly around the car. Then I tried 2 different dashboard clips. The phone kept warming up and stopped working. I then tried the phone holder on the visor and it was fine using it on the passenger side so I could still use the driver's side if I needed it. Then I bought my first cell phone mount which was a few dollars cheaper than this one. It just grazed one side of my rear view mirror and flew away every time I made a sharp turn. This clamps on both sides and allows me to rotate my phone 360 degrees. I finally found that the phone holder is perfect for my car and doesn't fly anywhere or get hot from the sun as it's really difficult for the sun to hit a phone when it's directly under your mirror.
