Review on 57 0440 High Performance International Intake by Steven Bush

First, mislabelled item shipped first. This has nothing to do with the product itself and is an anomaly in Revain's normally incredible delivery. The new product was received quickly and was correct the second time. The product itself is good. The filter element is of good quality, the mass air flow adapter and clamps work as they should. The only complaint about the mount. The way it was attached to the engine was odd and the air filter was too close to the oil filter. This has been corrected by swinging the hammer to straighten the strut. The semi-circular part of the mount didn't fit well. When installing without packaging, the inlet pipe may slide off the side of the bracket. It worked a bit better with post-processing installed, but still not quite right. I'll probably make my own mount in the future when the aftermarket airbox is added. In addition, the product does what it is supposed to do. Best of all, by removing the standard airbox, the driver can hear the BMW inline-6's powerful intake noise. Other than that, you probably won't experience any noticeable performance boost from the M54B30, but the sound is much better than the stock system.
