🚗 aFe Power Magnum FORCE 54-12092-1 Jeep Wrangler (JK) Performance Air Intake Kit (Oiled Filter, 5-Layer Filtration) Review

Installed in 2018 JK. I didn't notice any significant increase in fuel consumption. Maybe 2mpg. Paired with a Dynoflo exhaust. Noticed about 3 more mpg. First I mounted the air intake. It sounded a little meaner. Next comes Dinoflo. Looks like a Camaro. Very happy with the pair. Most important now is a huge increase in HP.

Definitely adds a growl when the accelerator pedal is pressed, better accelerator pedal response. As others have said, be careful when removing the temperature sensor. I wish they copied the jeep at the sensor port. They give you a sleeve to install the sensor but it's not as good as the twist lock on the jeep part. Well done too.

1. Ridiculously easy to install. In total it took me about 15 minutes.2. You will hear a big difference under the hood after about 2-2.5 thousand rpm when it sounds like an animal.3. I haven't seen any big changes in MPG yet, but I don't take JEEP on long trips either. I'll update if I end up seeing a big difference.

Managed to install this in under an hour. As others have said, use some dish soap on the air sensor and place it in the grommet before inserting it into the tube. Just start with a small flat head screwdriver on one side and work around the edges. The sensor will be safe and sound in minutes. This is the first aFe product that I have ordered. I have purchased and installed several KN cold air intakes in the past and have been blown away by how exceptional the aFe comparison is. I can't believe I waited 4 years to put this in my 2014 JK Jeep. This makes it sound fantastic, especially when you get into the higher rpm range it sounds raspy! Sounds almost like a V8! It's not annoyingly loud at lower cruising speeds, and only if you want it loud. I also installed a valance throttle body gasket, not sure if this will affect performance or sound. It definitely sounds harsher and makes the Jeep sound more assertive, but I didn't notice much of a difference in per gallon (about half a gallon better, give it a go), but it's more likely because I'm commuting between back roads to work or as a fireman knocking for 911 calls. My Jeep is also a Rubicon with 4.10 gears so it doesn't have the same gas mileage as the Sahara or Sport so that might be a factor as well. I bought this for performance and mileage. What I didn't expect was how my engine sound changed (love that!). I bought this with a throttle body spacer and an exhaust designed for my car.
