Pro: The hold was effective! It remained firm for about three hours and then gradually softened; at six o'clock or so, the hold was subtle but still gave a degree of control. Cons: The smell was very unpleasant on my nose. It reminded me of visiting elderly people who had smoked in their home for decades but tried to disguise it with incense/potpourri. (For what it's worth, my girlfriend thought it smelled mostly like incense and didn't smell as much smoke/tobacco as I did. But she still wasn't a fan.) If you like the smell of incense and/or tobacco , This may be the perfect product for you! But I personally will look for something that doesn't smell.
