
It couldn't even pick up more than zero 2.4GHz bands from my router about 5 meters away in the same room. The internal card in my laptop works better than this one with the antenna disabled! I think it's ok if you plan on keeping your computer on a router. I don't know why you don't just plug it in. I can't confirm reception in the 5GHz band, I think maybe I should put this thing INSIDE the router, then maybe.
