I bought a Cold Steel Norse Hawk and wanted the scabbard to have a traditional look. The case, which Cold Steel makes, is made of nylon and Velcro. So I opted for these instead. It's well made and the skin is thick enough that I don't have to worry about driving a sharp ax into it. The ax fits inside and snaps open with one of two buttons. I was a bit concerned about the fit at first, but after a little patience I figured out how to do it. Now the skin has stretched a little after a very short time and adapts easily. If you're looking for a quality leather ax sheath, you can't go wrong with this one.
