1/2 " plug-in connection with 3/8 " water tap inlet thread

I think the previous owners of my house drilled it all in 1986 over the weekend. I have a lot of 1/2 inch PVC, not many shut-off valves, and some faucets that were horribly in need of replacement. These faucets are fantastic. This fitting goes straight from a pipe to a nut on the end of a kitchen faucet built in supply hoses after removing the small nut and brass ball from the threaded end The valve will not close and will not flow at all What more could you want?
