I have this type and a flat cable type. This one, with the round cable exiting at the side, is laid more than the flat cable. The flat cable comes out at the "top" so it's immediately in the way. However, I'm not sure if the OBDII connector is the same for all cars. On your vehicle, the OBDII connector may be reversed so that the flat cable comes out "down", and if so, this may work better for you.
