Love these bar stools. They are absolutely gorgeous in person and look like they are worth way more than what I paid for them. They are also very comfortable and very durable and I have no doubt they will last. As for the build. The instructions are very simple and the first stool I assembled took 5 minutes and was incredibly easy. The end result was absolutely consistent. The second stool, as other reviewers have said, had some quality control issues. For me it wasn't because the drill holes weren't congruent, but because the metal itself was bent so much that only 3 of the 4 screws could get into the drill holes in the seat. After several attempts to change the screwing order, I finally used a lighter to heat the metal and smooth the curve out a bit with a potholder. I couldn't alter the shape of the metal significantly (again, it's strong!), but I managed to bend it enough to fit all four screws. The end result wasn't perfectly level, but I added felt furniture pads to ensure the legs were perfectly aligned. All in all the assembly of the second stool took about 30 minutes and while it wasn't easy I am so pleased with the end result that I still give the stools a full 5 stars.
