You'll never know we're in the 21st century when you buy Sony products. I don't know of any product other than the full line of Sony clock radios with analogue radio tuners. This radio was good around 2000, but today it's a shame to sell it for $20. Just 10 years ago, Sony made Dream Machine radios with pretty good tuners. It works well for what it is, but for around $20 you should have a digital tuner and be done with it, including other features. A backup battery is very important and only a 9 volt battery is reliable, although the meter will not tell you when the battery is low.
