I only installed them today so will be updating them in a couple of weeks after they have had a little use but when I installed them I thought I had blown bulbs because they didn't work at first and it didn't make any sense because I looked at the bulbs and they didn't say anything about which side went where so I figured it didn't matter. Yes, when I flipped them to the other side they worked great. In terms of installation, the hardest part for me was removing the plastic covers so I can access where the bulb goes and then just flip it over and figure out which side is connected correctly.
