Needs to be installed. The spot focus is better than I expected but the flow is a bit weak. I think the new design might let in too much light. A 2 row 12 LED module from the same company performs much better. (Also belong to it). Attempting to adjust the angle of the bar by aligning the locking grooves will not reach the ideal level. (At least on mine) I need to run a shim to achieve a level alignment. But overall I recommend it. I bought it for a headlight and so far it has exceeded my expectations a bit. I would say when comparing price/quality/functionality this product is a winner.
