The crank that came on this bike was the kind with an integrated sprocket (30t) and since this was a hardtail MTB I needed to change the gearing for my gravel bike conversion. So I bought this crank set as a replacement. After having to cut my old crankarm off (it was stuck and my local shop broke 2 puller tools trying to get it off), I finally was able to install this one as well as the 40t chainring. As of 6/29/21 I've put 43mi on the crankset with no issues! weight is also a really nice plus, seeing as my old crank set was over a pound heavier. So if you're on a budget, this is a great option.
