There were some shipping issues as FedEx traveled across the country just to drop it off at the USPS a mile from my house. I couldn't pick it up either. All in all, it still came within a reasonable amount of time. Too bad the seller switched to another carrier for shipping. However, the item arrived and works great. The grips are a bit tight at first, but in the long run they ensure a significantly longer service life. Using a gear system results in a much more precise adjustment rather than forcing the user to telescopically adjust the scope. Although the object you're looking at has to be very close, it gives a good image that's reasonably sharp. For the price this scope is worth it is definitely worth it. The light works well although it would be better if it used more common batteries like AAA. While the range doesn't really appear to be set at 100x, it's at least in the 60x to 80x range. As I said, imagine it very nicely. For the price I would recommend this scope to anyone looking for a portable version of a microscope. If you need more magnification, buy a more powerful scope. I don't think a scope of this size would be useful even at this magnification due to the nature of such a handheld device. Any hand trembling or a breeze blowing on the viewed object can affect the clarity of the image. At that magnification, it can be overcome by holding and adjusting both the scope and the object you're looking at in each hand. If it were higher, it would be difficult to use. Good product. I would buy again for a small gift for stockings or give a recommendation for this band. That works great.
