How to install this button cover on a 2011 BMW 750Li (F01, F02)

I just installed this button cover on my 2011 750Li. I'm writing this review because I've had a lot of trouble installing this part. It's not hard, but I hate breaking the goal because I didn't know how things would fall apart. Remove the panel from the dashboard. You can do this with your hands, starting at the end of the glove box where you can grab it. It's just taken off. Notice how the latch button/four-pin wiring is routed.2. Disconnect the wiring to the switch. The plug is simply pulled out.3. Remove the three T-20 screws securing the switch to the panel.4. Remove the border around the button. There are three tabs holding it to the base of the switch. I found that for two of them it was easier to press the base of the derailleur just below the peg to get it to loosen. Note that the rectangle that extends from the bezel to the base is between the pin and the extension on the base.5. Remove the switch cover. I decided to just use a screwdriver to break the piece of plastic holding the cover to the case as I was going to smash it up anyway. Then he immediately withdrew.6. Follow these steps in reverse order to assemble and you're done!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Fits
