The part of my remote that attaches to my keychain broke off so I bought this remote. Keep in mind that this is just a wrapper for the inner workings of your remote, not a full remote that needs to be programmed. If your remote works perfectly, just something on it is cracked or broken, then a case like this is all you need. It consists of 3 parts: top, bottom and an inner rubber pad that holds the insides of your remote control. Open both the old and new cases at the notch with a flathead or dime screwdriver. I removed the guts from my broken console by lifting the black rubber grommet that sealed them. I then removed the guts from the seal and placed them in the seal that came with the new case. Fits perfectly. Just look carefully at the position of the buttons on the insides, you will notice that a small protrusion looks different, it will be the one that lowers the rear window and aligns it correctly with the corresponding buttons on the bodywork. Then, to the right of the battery, locate the panic button and line it up with the corresponding red button on the back of the new case. Assemble the new shell, don't be frustrated, it takes a minute, you have to hold one side fully together and then force the other side to snap into place. The listing shows the FCC numbers that this case is compatible with and on the back of my original Toyota remote this number matches the number on the listing. Fits and works great! I am impressed!
