After reading many negative reviews about the fingerprint reader, I didn't expect much from this case. And after a few initial attempts to unlock the phone with the screen protector on, those negative reviews seem to have come true. However; After the fourth try, I learned that it almost always works. I did it that way. First follow the video instructions. After that, I scanned my pinky instead of my thumb. I then put a screen protector on my new phone fresh out of the box so I don't have to clean the screen. Next I installed the rest of the case. Finally, I lightly press my finger on the screen scanning area to unlock it. Remember to squeeze your finger hard enough, but not too hard. Now I can unlock my phone on the first try almost every time. Yes, I am a real buyer. No, I am not receiving anything in return for reviewing this product.
