Decided to give up plastic storage containers. I'm starting to worry about plasticizers in my food (I reheat food in storage containers). Also, regardless of what the manufacturer claims, every plastic container I've tried has always gotten dirty, melts, has holes, cracks, fogged up, is red from tomato sauce, etc. Tired. They are made of glass and work great. Still looks new after a few months of use. Easy to clean. I don't have to put them on the top rack of the dishwasher. Yes, they're heavy, and yes, they break if dropped (okay, plastic breaks when it freezes), so I'll just take care of that. The only downside is that the lids melt easily - the steam from heating leftovers permanently deforms the lid (funnily enough, there's no problem with heat in the dishwasher). So remember to remove the lids when cooking in the microwave and you won't have a problem.
