I thought it would be fairly quick and easy to install but we encountered some bumps along the way. There's a plastic insert that looks like it was designed to fit snugly when closed, but no matter how hard we pressed, it didn't close properly. We tweaked a few times to see if we could get it to work and it didn't work. I'm assuming we had the insert in the right place but the instructions don't give the exact location so I can't be 100% sure. We still use them, just removed the insert. We had no problems and are still closing tight. I don't know if we got the wrong earbuds with the kit or what happened, but I wouldn't buy them again.
