Buyer Warning! fits hood bolts

not recommended Although easy to install in theory, they don't snap flush into place. Terrible instructions and right now they don't work at all - I'll go back and buy a quality pair elsewhere. Very disappointed. So impractical that I have to completely replace the old ones to order a new pair. Don't waste money.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • nothing here

50/50 on this latch

Got this for a 15th Wrangler with a lot of hood flap. Vaccination is easy and does not take much time. There are two things I dislike about this clasp. First, there's not much room for customization. Second, the locking mechanism is rigid and difficult to lock and unlock, making it easier to damage the paintwork. I'll see how it goes over the next few days.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not bad

Easy to install and great looking.

The hood latches were very easy to install. They look great and are very strong. The top closes tightly after the top elements have been adjusted. Received very well packaged in a foam box. Allen keys are included, only 10mm and 13mm sockets are required. Reaching the bottom bolts is much easier if you use a small ratchet with a 1/4" drive.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Looked fine for about a month. Do not buy.

While these fasteners work well, they faded in the sun less than a month from the silver white I bought. I bought them to keep the hood from popping up when driving on the freeway and they work great. The hood didn't move. But now they've faded to an ugly white that looks awful on my silver jeep. I've seen other cheap anodized products do the same thing, but I was hoping for the best. Spring. Note to self. Don't buy from these guys again.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Don't waste time ordering this

. The instructions are terrible and hard to understand from the pictures. The powder coating makes it difficult for screws to pass through. Once you're done with the screws in the slots, the latch won't fit the hood without modifying at least one of them. The screws won't snap and will slide around and break the surface if you can tighten them enough. The mounting latch is made of cheap plastic that doesn't last long and fades faster in the sun.

Pros
  • Confidence
Cons
  • Zero

Complicated plastic inserts interfere with proper fit

I thought it would be fairly quick and easy to install but we encountered some bumps along the way. There's a plastic insert that looks like it was designed to fit snugly when closed, but no matter how hard we pressed, it didn't close properly. We tweaked a few times to see if we could get it to work and it didn't work. I'm assuming we had the insert in the right place but the instructions don't give the exact location so I can't be 100% sure. We still use them, just removed the insert. We had…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
