This camera does everything it says on the tin. A nice picture from a single chip device; There aren't many independent controls, but it's designed to work automatically and does it very well. for inexplicable reasons does not contain a firewire cable! and does not describe the download speed of the connection, which would be helpful. USB is one minute to one second of video, so pour your coffee. The fixed chip is directly accessible via the file explorer on your PC, so very fast. Frames are a great feature. You can use any size chip - I used a 128 megabyte chip perfectly, although the manual stops at 64 megabytes - poor documentation. Does a very good job of freezing golf shots! and was used a lot for this at the Hilton Head Hotel last week. All in all a great family camera if you want photos and miniDV in one.
